About the Role
Our client is seeking a diligent and skilled Aircraft Maintenance Technician to join their dedicated team based in Cape Town. This crucial role involves performing routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on a diverse fleet of aircraft to ensure airworthiness and operational safety. You will work within a state-of-the-art facility, contributing directly to the reliability and efficiency of flight operations. This position is ideal for a hands-on professional with a strong understanding of aviation mechanics and a commitment to upholding the highest safety standards in a collaborative hangar environment.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs on aircraft structures, engines, and systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, implementing effective repair solutions.
- Interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics to perform maintenance tasks accurately.
- Maintain detailed records of all maintenance performed, including parts used and time spent.
- Ensure compliance with all aviation regulations and company safety policies.
- Collaborate with flight crews and operations teams to address aircraft maintenance concerns promptly.
- Relevant trade qualification or certification in Aircraft Maintenance.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic aircraft systems.
- Familiarity with aviation regulations and maintenance documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety protocols.
