About the Role
Our client is seeking motivated individuals to enter their structured Apprentice Electrician program in Cape Town . This program provides comprehensive training in industrial electrical systems, focusing on installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Apprentices will work alongside experienced electricians, learning to interpret electrical schematics, install and connect wiring, and maintain the electrical integrity of industrial machinery. This is an excellent pathway for individuals passionate about electrical work, offering a blend of theoretical knowledge and practical, hands‑on experience in a vital sector of the economy.
The goal is to develop skilled tradespeople capable of contributing to our client's operational excellence.
- Assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment under supervision.
- Learn to read and interpret electrical diagrams , blueprints, and specifications.
- Perform basic wiring, conduit installation, and connections for industrial machinery.
- Conduct routine checks and troubleshooting of electrical faults on plant equipment.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and electrical codes.
- Participate in all assigned training sessions and practical workshops to develop technical skills.
- Minimum Grade 12 (Matric) certificate with passes in Maths and Science.
- A keen interest and aptitude for electrical systems and mechanics.
- Good problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and follow instructions accurately.
- Must be physically capable of performing the duties of an electrician, including working at heights and in confined spaces.
- Commitment to completing the apprenticeship and obtaining trade qualification.
- Formal training leading to a recognized Trade Certificate .
