About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Refrigeration Systems Installer to join their essential services team in Cape Town . This position involves the precise installation and commissioning of commercial and industrial refrigeration units, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with stringent industry standards. You will play a vital role in supporting businesses across the Western Cape by maintaining critical cooling infrastructure.
The successful candidate will be a meticulous professional with a deep understanding of refrigeration technologies and a commitment to providing reliable, high-quality installations in the vibrant city of Cape Town .
- Install, assemble, and commission various types of refrigeration systems , including walk-in coolers, freezers, and chillers.
- Read and interpret technical manuals , blueprints, and schematics for installation accuracy.
- Perform system checks, pressure tests, and leak detection on newly installed refrigeration units.
- Ensure all work adheres to safety protocols, building codes, and environmental regulations.
- Collaborate with project managers and clients to ensure project timelines and specifications are met.
- Provide basic troubleshooting and maintenance advice to clients post-installation.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Refrigeration Installer or similar role.
- Solid understanding of thermodynamics and refrigeration principles.
- Proficiency with tools and equipment used for installing refrigeration piping and components.
- Possession of a valid South African driver's license .
- Familiarity with different types of refrigerants and their safe handling procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.
