Our client is seeking a skilled and reliable Solar Installation Technician to join their growing team in Upington . You will be responsible for the hands-on installation of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on residential and commercial properties, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality workmanship. This role requires practical skills, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

- Install solar panels, inverters, mounting hardware, and associated electrical components according to design specifications and safety standards.
- Perform electrical wiring and connections for solar PV systems, ensuring compliance with local codes and regulations.
- Conduct system tests and inspections to verify proper functionality and performance after installation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the installation process.
- Ensure all work sites are maintained in a clean and organized manner, adhering to safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with customers, project managers, and fellow team members regarding installation progress and any concerns.
- Proven experience as a solar installer or a strong background in electrical installation/construction.
- Familiarity with solar PV system components, wiring, and installation techniques.
- Knowledge of electrical safety procedures and local building codes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and installation manuals.
- Physical ability to work at heights, lift heavy equipment, and perform manual labor.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
