Field Service Technician - Installation & Maintenance

Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Field Service Technician to join their team in Cape Town . You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of specialized equipment at customer sites across the Western Cape region. This role requires a hands-on approach, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work autonomously in various environments. You will be the face of our client to their customers, ensuring their systems operate at peak performance and providing exceptional on-site support.

• Perform on-site installation, configuration, and commissioning of new equipment according to technical specifications.
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal system performance.
• Diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions, replacing faulty components as needed.
• Respond to emergency service calls and resolve issues promptly to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate service records, including work performed, parts used, and time spent.
• Provide technical guidance and training to customer staff on equipment operation and basic maintenance.

• Proven experience as a Field Service Technician or in a similar hands-on technical role.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with experience in equipment installation and repair .
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record are essential.
• Ability to travel regularly within the Cape Town and surrounding areas.
