Location: Cape Town, Western Cape
Position SummaryAn established technical services company is seeking an On-Site Service Technician to provide maintenance, installation, repair, and technical support services at a client's site in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring equipment reliability, maintaining high service standards, and assisting with preventative and corrective maintenance activities.
Minimum Requirements- Grade 12 / Matric
- Electrical Certificate or Diploma advantageous
- 1-3 years' experience in an electrical or maintenance environment
- Experience using hand and power tools
- Basic fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
- Valid driver's licence
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on site equipment.
- Conduct routine inspections and identify potential faults.
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues.
- Repair and replace defective components where required.
- Use power tools and maintenance equipment safely and effectively.
- Assist with installations, upgrades, and commissioning of equipment.
- Ensure all work is completed according to company and client safety standards.
- Complete maintenance reports, service records, and job cards accurately.
- Maintain housekeeping standards within the work area.
- Liaise with clients and site personnel professionally.
- Respond to breakdowns and urgent maintenance requirements.
- Monitor equipment performance and report recurring issues.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and company assets in good working order.
- Assist senior technicians and management with technical projects and site requirements.
