Our client is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Installation and Repair Technician to join their expanding operations in Cape Town . This role involves the critical tasks of installing, maintaining, and repairing sophisticated systems for a diverse clientele. You will be responsible for ensuring that all installations meet the highest standards of quality and functionality, and that any service calls are handled efficiently and effectively.
The successful candidate will have a strong technical background, a methodical approach to problem-solving, and the ability to work autonomously in the field. This position offers a great opportunity to grow within a well-established company in the Installation & Maintenance sector, serving the vibrant Western Cape region.
- Install, configure, and test new equipment and systems at client premises according to project plans.
- Conduct regular maintenance checks and preventative servicing to ensure system longevity and optimal performance.
- Diagnose and repair technical issues, providing timely and effective solutions to minimize downtime.
- Respond to emergency service calls and resolve urgent technical problems efficiently.
- Document all installation and repair activities, including parts used and time spent, using company software.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, both in the service vehicle and at client sites.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a technical installation or repair role, preferably within Installation & Maintenance .
- Demonstrated ability to install and maintain mechanical and/or electronic systems.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and testing equipment.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and be willing to travel extensively within the Cape Town area.
