Assistant Bookkeeper

Our Property Management firm offers a variety of services – including complete residential property management, leasing, and vacation rental management. Serving Santa Cruz County Property Management since 1972, we are currently seeking an energetic, organized, and self-driven Assistant Bookkeeper. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and has a strong understanding of best practices in accounting.

• Enter financial data and transactions
• Verify the accuracy of transactions that have been entered
• Receive payments, enter receipts
• Verify invoices for completeness and accuracy
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Perform month end tasks
• Phone reception
• General office work
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

• Must have a minimum of two years' experience
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance (preferred)
• Strong financial acumen and understanding of financial accounting principles
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Proficient in Quick Books accounting software (Certification a plus and prefered)
• Highly organized with attention to detail
• Strong work ethics and the ability to work well with others
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• Work closely with our management team
• Experience in the construction industry a plus
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Compensation: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
