About Food & Beverage

The Food & Beverage team ensures a consistent experience for guests by maintaining product freshness, accurate pricing, and well‑maintained sales floors. The team leads replenishment, inventory accuracy, food safety, presentation, pricing, and promotional signing processes.

Role Overview

The Food & Beverage Team Leader provides leadership, training, coaching, and development for hourly team members. The role involves planning workloads, meeting sales goals, and driving a guest‑first culture across the department.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver guest experience commitments and ensure consistent operations.
  • Observe, give feedback, and hold team members accountable while recognizing positive guest moments.
  • Review metrics to identify improvement opportunities and align the team on behaviors that elevate the guest experience.
  • Plan and execute daily/weekly workloads to meet department sales and guest engagement goals.
  • Lead a guest‑focused, efficient team that follows food‑service standards and safety policies.
  • Perform daily standards walks, assess back‑room and floor areas, and prioritize tasks based on guest traffic.
  • Assign daily tasks, validate progress, and enforce best practices.
  • Train and develop team members through coaching and training sessions.
  • Lead team huddles focusing on trends, store reporting, and HQ communications.
  • Maintain vendor partnerships, ensuring brand and delivery expectations are met and items remain in stock.
  • Support the hiring and onboarding process for new team members.
  • Provide backup support for cashier, order pickup, and drive‑up duties while maintaining compliance with all laws.
  • Serve as a subject‑matter expert on adult beverage laws and, where applicable, uphold Starbucks and Pizza Hut Brand Standards.
  • Model and enforce safety and security standards, investigate incidents, and report injuries promptly.
  • Occasionally assume store‑level leadership on duty.
  • Perform all other duties as necessary to support business needs.
Qualifications
  • At least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous retail and/or food experience preferred.
  • Strong interest and knowledge of the Food & Beverage business.
  • Ability to lead and hold others accountable.
  • Proficiency with communication devices and handheld scanners.
  • Independently manage workload and prioritize tasks.
  • Remain focused and composed in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and teammates.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Access all areas of the building as needed.
  • Accurately handle cash register operations.
  • Climb ladders and move merchandise up to 44 pounds.
  • Flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak shopping times.
  • Comfortable working in varying temperatures and humidity.
