NTT Faculty - Assistant Lecturer, Pre-Art Therapy

The School of Art and Design at Southern Illinois University Carbondale seeks applicants for a part-time, non-tenure track, term appointment with emphasis in art therapy foundations and practicum field observations. The applicant will teach pre-art therapy courses and supervise field work for undergraduate students. The applicant will serve as liaison between SIUC and community practicum partners and will serve as capstone committee chair for all undergraduate pre-art therapy students.

Due to the newly established $100,000 fee for H-1B petitions requesting consular processing outside of the U.S., Southern Illinois University is unable to provide H-1B sponsorship at this time for any prospective applicant who is outside of the U.S. and requires consular processing.

Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience, while also considering internal equity.

• Teach Pre-Art Therapy courses
• Oversee field experiences, including Pre-Art Therapy Practicum A and Pre-Art Therapy Practicum B
• Serve on the Capstone Committee for each Pre-Art Therapy student
• Serve as Co-Program Coordinator for the Pre-Art Therapy Program

• Completed Master’s degree by date of hire

• Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Art Therapist–Board Certified (ATR-BC), and/or National Certified Counselor (NCC)
• Minimum of two years of college/university teaching experience and/or relevant field experience
