Summary of Position

Provides day to day supervision and living skills instruction for the residents and carries out duties as assigned by the Program Manager, Program Manager Assistant or TLP Advisor Team Lead. This includes providing training and support for residents to help them attain maximum independence and maintenance of appropriate documentation.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist service recipients with making linkage with internal and external resources as outlined in treatment plan and in coordination with Integrated Healthcare Services. Maintain appropriate contact with referral sources including providing information on service recipient progress, behavior, and needs (with appropriate releases), and maintaining ongoing consultation when appropriate.
• Provide transportation for service recipients as needed.
• Provide instruction regarding personal care as needed.
• Assist clients with life skills as needed, including but not limited to: budgeting, interpersonal skills, resume building, vocational skills and other life skill instruction. Includes assisting clients with cooking, cleaning (to maintain DCFS/DJJ, Centerstone cleaning standards). If the client refuses to clean, staff must ensure that the client environment is up to standards by cleaning and getting the environment back in order.

• Effectively communicate via written, verbal, in person and virtual methods.
• Skill in customer service techniques.
• Skill in establishing and maintaining interpersonal relationships with clients and staff.
• Skill in problem solving.
• Skill in identifying and prioritizing job tasks.

Education Level

Associates Degree plus one year of mental health experience. If applicant has no degree, five years of direct work experience with mental health population is mandatory. TB testing also required.

Years of Experience

One year of mental health experience.

Certification/Licensure

• CPR/1st Aid
• CPI

Wage Progression

This role has a wage progression within the first 90 days as Centerstone trainings are completed:

• Entry - $18.25
• DSP Certified (30 days) - $18.85
• Med Authorized (90 days) - $19.50

• Standing - 20%
• Sitting - 80%
• Squatting - Occasional
• Kneeling - Occasional
• Bending - Occasional
• Driving - Occasional
• Lifting - Occasional

Pay Range: $17.35--$24.30
