Embark on a transformative journey as a Radiology Special Procedures Tech, where precision, compassion, and advanced imaging converge to elevate patient care. This multi-week assignment starts on March 16, 2026, presenting an opportunity to refine interventional skills across a spectrum of procedures, from angiography to complex venous access and peri-procedural imaging. Envision the impact you can have as you guide patients through procedures with expertise, steady hands, and clear communication that calms fears and builds trust.

Carbondale blends college-town energy with southern hospitality, offering access to cultural events, dining, and outdoor recreation after shifts. This setting nurtures well-rounded professionals who thrive in collaborative teams and who bring resilience, curiosity, and the highest standard of patient-centered care.

Location benefits:
Working in Carbondale gives you a gateway to the unique rhythms of southern Illinois—families, universities, and small-town warmth—while the opportunity to travel to other locations across the U.S. broadens your professional horizon. You'll experience diverse patient populations, varied equipment platforms, and hospital cultures that challenge and sharpen your clinical judgment. The region's natural beauty invites healthy work-life balance, with hiking, boating, and seasonal festivals that recharge you between shifts.

Role specifics and benefits:
In this role you will operate as a critical member of the interventional imaging team, performing procedural imaging, scene setup, sterile technique, equipment selection and optimization, radiation safety compliance, and post-procedure documentation. You will assist physicians during angiography, catheter placements, neurovascular interventions, and other specialty procedures, ensuring image clarity and patient stability. You’ll have the chance to broaden your scope with cross-training opportunities in CT fluoroscopy, sonography support, and portable imaging, enabling you to grow within the Special Procedures subspecialty.

Our compensation package features a competitive weekly pay range of $2,568-$2,636, with options for extension on favorable terms. We also offer a sign-on bonus where applicable, robust housing assistance, and potential for contract extensions based on performance and hospital needs. Comprehensive support is provided, including 24/7 assistance from our travel team and on-site coordinators who help you navigate shifts, accommodations, and licensing requirements.

Your professional development is a priority, with access to continuing education resources, mentorship, and structured pathways to advanced credentials within radiology. You’ll operate with state-of-the-art imaging systems, safety protocols, and a collaborative mindset that respects each team member’s expertise, ensuring both exceptional patient outcomes and your own growth trajectory.

We foster a supportive work environment that emphasizes safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement. You’ll find a culture that celebrates achievement, recognizes expertise, and invests in your growth through ongoing training, leadership opportunities, and a transparent approach to performance feedback.
