Shawnee Health – Patient Intake Registration Team Lead

Shawnee Health is seeking a Patient Intake Registration Team Lead for our Shawnee Health OBGYN Clinics in Marion and Carbondale. This position reports directly to the Patient Intake Registration Supervisor.

Responsibilities
  • Promptly and professionally answers, screens, and processes medical service requests and telephone inquiries with strict adherence to confidentiality policies.
  • Collects and enters patient intake information into the appropriate area of practice management system with accurate information.
  • Refers patients to the appropriate staff, according to patient request per established protocols, i.e. triage, medical records, patient care coordinators.
  • Utilizes practice management system to schedule appointments according to established protocols.
  • Participates in internal education opportunities relevant to the Patient Intake Department and customer service environment; attends/completes all assigned training through Paycor Learning and other resources as required.
  • Meets Shawnee Health and department benchmarks and or quality indicators as monitored through audits and or recordings.
  • Supports organizational changes, demonstrates flexibility in proving coverage as needed during times of high volume or staff shortage.
  • Patient Intake Team Lead is responsible for assisting the Patient Intake Scheduling Supervisor and Patient Intake Registration Supervisor with coordinating and conducting training for Patient Intake Scheduling and Patient Intake Registration.
  • Coordinates staffing schedules to achieve the greatest productivity.
  • Advanced knowledge of Paycor and the ability to process time cards.
  • Resolution of patient complaints, acting as a liaison between the Patient Intake Department and the Health Centers.
  • Assist Health Center Manager with administrative task including but not limited to: monitoring provider schedules; being point of contact in manager's absence.
  • Participates in special projects and team meetings as assigned.
  • Assist in ensuring patient access to care.
  • Assist in administering the patient complaint process and act appropriately.
  • Must have an excellent understanding of all Shawnee Health policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for scheduling and documenting all patient interactions in the appropriate location within the practice management/EHR systems.
  • Accurately and efficiently checks patients in; checking insurance/Medicaid eligibility, collecting co-pays, updating all information into practice management system.
  • Effectively schedules return appointments according to established protocols.
  • Ability to complete SFA applications proficiently.
  • Responsible for maintaining assigned Athena buckets to ensure high accuracy and timely completion.
  • Ability to balance money drawers/bank deposits daily in accordance with SHS policies.
  • Ability to access/monitor patient recall plans, notifying patients, scheduling follow up visits.
  • Ability to complete all incoming tasks on a timely basis.
  • Other duties and special projects that are assigned by management.
  • May be temporarily assigned or permanently re-assigned to work at other Shawnee Health Care Centers.
  • Develop liaison relationships with the professional staff to ensure clinical information is received and processed accurately and timely.
  • Required to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings, weekends, and early morning hours.
  • Reliable transportation on the job is mandatory.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Two years of experience in medical office or hospital setting is preferred with competencies in working within an electronic patient record, person to person customer service, and office related skills.
  • Two years of business-related experience.
Salary

$43,888 - $47,958
