Description
The Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS), Student Health Services (SHS) at SIU Carbondale is seeking applications for a Mental Health Coordinator position. This is a 12-month, full-timeterm appointment. Compensation includes a comprehensive benefits package, professional liability coverage, and a competitive salary.
Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience, while also considering internal equity.
Examples of DutiesThis position will provide counseling therapy, stress management,and suicidal, homicidal assessment and evaluation to students.
QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:
By date of hire, earned master’s degree in clinical, counseling, or educational psychology from an APA or CPA accredited program; or an earned master’s degree in social work from a CSWE accredited program; or an earned master’s degree in rehabilitation counseling from a CORE accredited program AND eligible for licensure as a licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC) or licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) in the state of Illinois within 24 months from the date of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
Registration as a licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC) or a licensed clinical social worker(LCSW) in the state of Illinois, or eligibility for licensure in Illinois based on reciprocity in another state.
