The Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia (USG) seeks a visionary, accomplished president to lead the Georgia Institute of Technology at a moment of significant institutional visibility, strength and momentum. As one of the nation's premier public research universities and a member of the Association of American Universities (AAU), Georgia Tech is ranked by U.S. News & World Report as No.

32 among National Universities and No. 9 among public national universities, with undergraduate engineering ranked No. 3 nationally and No. 1 among public universities. The next president will inherit an institution operating from a position of strength, with the opportunity to build on Georgia Tech's national stature, expand its public benefit and propel the university through its next era of impact.

Georgia Tech's academic excellence is reinforced by a research enterprise that extends the university's reach from the classroom to discovery, innovation and economic growth. In FY26, researchexpendituresreached $1.35 billion, while research awards totaled $1.54 billion, the highest year in the Institute's history.

This research productivity has propelled

Georgia Tech to advance innovation in artificial intelligence, computing, aerospace, health, energy and advanced manufacturingwhilecontributing an estimated $6.3 billion in annual economic benefit to the State of Georgia.

Philanthropy is accelerating this progress. The Transforming Tomorrow campaign has surpassed $2 billion, including more than $415 million in gifts and commitments in a record fundraising year that is advancing investments in students, faculty, discovery and strategic priorities. As part of this broader $2.2 billion Institute campaign, Georgia Tech Athletics has raised $453 million toward its $500 million goal as of July 31, 2026.

Originally set at $300 million, the athletics goal was increased to $500 million in recognition of the early success and continued momentum of fundraising efforts.

The Board seeks an accomplished and visionary executive with a demonstrated record of leading a large, complex organization. While experience in higher education or the public sector is valued, candidates from other sectors with relevant leadership experience are encouraged to apply.
