Travel Registered Nurse IR

Registered Nurse – Interventional Radiology (IR), travel assignment based in Carbondale, Illinois. Start date 06/01/2026 for a 13-week contract with guaranteed 36 hours per week. Shift pattern is 4x10-hour days with on-call as required. Weekly pay ranges from $2,742 to $2,907. This is a hospital-based IR unit requiring proficiency in moderate sedation and strong nursing clinical judgment to support patient care before, during, and after interventional procedures.

• Assess patients to determine mental, physical, and spiritual needs; participate in planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized plans of care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
• Demonstrate nursing clinical judgment to recognize and report changes in patient condition; intervene and elevate appropriately.
• Prepare and assist with Interventional Radiology procedures; provide care during procedures, including monitoring and administering medications as ordered.
• Manage patient education, explanations, and instructions for responsible persons; maintain complete and accurate medical records.
• Support core measures related to patient care; participate in continuing education and contribute to a healthy, collaborative care environment.
• Post-procedure care and discharge planning; coordinate with team to ensure safe transitions and appropriate follow-up.

• Current Illinois Registered Nurse license
• CPR/BLS certification; ACLS required
• Proficiency in moderate sedation
• Experience in Interventional Radiology or interventional imaging setting preferred
• Ability to work in a hospital IR environment; on-call availability as required
• Education aligned with RN licensure and program completion from an approved nursing education pathway
