The Progressive Care Unit (PCU) nurse position is located in Carbondale, Illinois. This role involves providing patient care in a supportive and collaborative environment, caring for a wide variety of cardiac and respiratory patients with fluctuating acuity levels. The position offers daytime shifts and emphasizes team communication and professional development.

• Schedule:
  
  Days shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications:
  
  Current Illinois Registered Nurse license; CPR/BLS certification; ACLS certification; 0 years of experience.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  
  Experience in a Progressive Care Unit.
• Additional Information:
  The nurse will assess patients to determine mental, physical, and spiritual needs and contribute to patient care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary healthcare team. Responsibilities include providing patient education, demonstrating clinical judgment, managing conflict professionally, and maintaining accurate medical records. The role involves participation in continuing education and core measure responsibilities.
