Registered Nurse – IMC​/PCU​/Stepdown

Progressive Care Unit Nurse

Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and stepdown units, ensuring patient safety and well-being. Deliver comprehensive assessments, implement individualized care plans, and collaborate with the healthcare team to promote optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients’ mental, physical, and spiritual needs to develop appropriate care plans.
• Implement and evaluate personalized nursing interventions based on patient acuity and condition changes.
• Educate patients and responsible persons by providing clear explanations and instructions.
• Use clinical judgment to recognize, report, and respond to patient condition changes promptly.
• Document medical records accurately, maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Contribute to a positive and collaborative department environment, supporting team communication and conflict resolution.

Qualifications:

• State of Illinois Registered Nurse license required.
• Current CPR/BLS certification and ACLS certification required.
• Proven ability to assess, plan, and execute patient care in a progressive care setting.
• Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in acute care, preferred.
