Imc/Pcu/Stepdown Registered Nurse
This position requires providing high-quality nursing care to patients in the IMC/PCU/Stepdown unit, supporting recovery and stabilization. The RN will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care and safety.
Responsibilities:
- Assess patients' physical, mental, and spiritual needs to develop individualized care plans.
- Implement and evaluate nursing interventions according to established protocols.
- Monitor patient condition and utilize clinical judgment to recognize and report changes promptly.
- Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, procedures, and health maintenance.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment through professional communication and conflict resolution.
- Maintain accurate and complete medical records in compliance with institutional standards.
Qualifications:
- Hold a current Illinois Registered Nurse license.
- Possess current CPR/BLS certification.
- Have ACLS certification preferred or required as per unit policy.
- Demonstrate experience with cardiac and respiratory patient populations.
- Show ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, fluctuating acuity environment.
- Exhibit strong clinical judgment and professional communication skills.
