RN - PCU

Registered Nurse - Progressive Care Unit

Days, with a ratio of 4:1 on PCU patients. Every other weekend and holidays are required. There are no on-call requirements, but overtime is available for those interested. While block schedules cannot be guaranteed, the team will make efforts to accommodate preferred schedules.

The Registered Nurse (RN) will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary healthcare team in a supportive and collaborative work environment. The primary patient population includes a diverse range of cardiac and respiratory patients.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients to determine mental, physical, and spiritual needs.
• Provide explanations and instructions to patients and responsible parties.
• Utilize nursing clinical judgment to recognize and report changes in patient conditions.
• Contribute to a healthy workplace environment by managing conflict using professional communication skills.
• Meet Core Measure responsibilities related to patient care.
• Participate in continuing education activities.
• Maintain complete and accurate medical records.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Current Illinois Registered Nurse license.
• Current CPR/BLS card.
• ACLS certification preferred.

Assignment Duration:

This is a 13-week contract position.
