American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Nights position requiring stroke certification and NIHSS certification.

• unit: 25-bed Medical unit with 11 private and 7 semi-private rooms
• Patient population primarily includes stroke patients, post-operative surgical cases, and medically complex adult patients
• Cares for patients with conditions such as amputations, chest tubes, feeding tubes, heparin drips, wound care, altered mental status, CIWA, AKI, dialysis, and COPD exacerbations
• Nurse-to-patient ratio is 5:1 on days and 5-6:1 on nights, with occasional 1:1 total care assignments
• Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week
• Requires working every other weekend and every other holiday

• Active IL RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Stroke certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required

• Provide direct nursing care to a diverse Med/Surg patient population including stroke, post-surgical, and comfort/hospice care patients
