• Provide intraoperative assistance as a RN First Assist (RNFA) under the supervising surgeon during a variety of procedures
• Maintain sterile technique, manage surgical counts, and handle instruments, retractors, suction, and lighting as needed
• Assist with exposure, tissue handling, incision and closure, hemostasis, and wound management
• Position the patient, apply draping, and help prepare the operative field; support perioperative workflow and patient safety
• Collaborate with the OR team, anesthesia providers, and circulating staff; communicate intraoperative needs and changes
• Document intraoperative events and assist with post-operative care coordination as appropriate within scope

• Active RN license in Illinois (or ability to practice in Illinois)
• BLS certification
• RN First Assist experience or documented RNFA training/experience in an OR setting
• Ability to work in a fast-paced operating room environment
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program (RN)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; willingness to travel on assignment
