Job DescriptionSeeking a motivated graduate student to join an established environmental toxicology group. The Lydy lab investigates sublethal effects of contaminants on protected fish species such as Chinook salmon, incorporates contaminants into life cycle models, and studies life cycle modelling, biomarkers, and predator‑prey interactions. The aquatic toxicology lab houses a well‑equipped analytical chemistry lab and a large modern aquatics facility.
Qualifications- Master’s degree or BS with experience in Chemistry, Ecology, Toxicology or a related field.
- Experience with toxicological bioassays, life cycle modelling, culturing, ArcGIS, field surveys and/or analytical instrumentation (GC‑MS; LC‑MS‑MS).
- Good writing skills.
