Position: Retail Sales Associate - 2280

Compensation

$15.00 to $18.00 per hour. Earn a commission of up to 8% on transactions, potentially adding an average of $1.89 per hour above your hourly rate. Pay rates comply with all applicable minimum wage requirements.

Earned Wage Access is available from the second day of employment, allowing employees to withdraw up to 50% of earned wages up to seven times per payroll cycle.

Position Summary

We are seeking entry‑level, full‑time sales associates for pawn store locations nationwide. The associate partners with the entire staff to provide customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business, handling sales, loans, and other transactions involving jewelry, tools, electronics, firearms, and general merchandise.

Responsibilities
  • Greet and interact with customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
  • Perform non‑management open/close procedures.
  • Keep the sales floor clean, stocked, and display merchandise.
  • Conduct sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Handle cash and negotiable items per established policies.
  • Answer incoming calls according to company standards.
  • Communicate legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
  • Communicate effectively with coworkers and managers, showing respect.
  • Collaborate with all employees to create a positive customer experience.
  • Successfully complete assigned training.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Willing and able to perform tasks for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting).
  • Ability to work with firearms and obtain firearms certification.
  • May be asked to assist customers outside the building or retrieve items from exterior storage.
  • Minimum age 18.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong desire to work with customers and be team‑oriented.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Proficient basic math calculations.
  • Cash handling experience preferred.
  • Flexible to work a retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.

Commission Plan

Commission incentive plan is proprietary. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2–8% commission based on the gross profit of their personal performance.
