DescriptionWelcome to the Appliance Department Sales Associate role at Cotton's Ace Hardware. As an Appliance Department Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while aiding customers in selecting the right appliances for their needs. You will be the face of the department and a key part of helping our customers make the right decisions for their home appliances.
You will be knowledgeable on the appliances we carry and will go the extra mile to ensure our customers have the best shopping experience possible. We are looking for a customer-oriented individual who has excellent communication and interpersonal skills. If this sounds like you, we would love to have you join our team!
Job Responsibilities
- Greet customers upon entering the store and provide assistance throughout their shopping experience
- Provide knowledgeable advice on appliance options and features
- Explain product warranties and other related services
- Answer customer inquiries regarding appliance pricing, availability, and specifications
- Demonstrate appliance features to customers
- Assist customers with any appliance-related issues or complaints
- Maintain records of customer purchases and payments
- Ensure stock levels of appliances are maintained
- Keep appliances and display areas clean and organized
- Assist with product ordering, restocking, and merchandising
- Assist with the completion of sales transactions
- Work collaboratively with other sales associates to ensure customer satisfaction
- Participate in store events and promotions
- Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations
- Comply with all company policies and procedures
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Proven sales experience in the appliance department
- Knowledge of appliance products and services
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to bend, stoop, and reach
- Ability to build rapport with customers
- Good computer skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Knowledge of safety standards and procedures
