Aquatics Center Lifeguard

The Town of Carbondale is accepting applications for our Aquatics Center for the position of Lifeguard. Lifeguards perform a variety of duties including but not limited to rule enforcement, open and close the facility, chemical checks, performing rescues, and ensuring a clean and safe environment for all. A valid Colorado driver’s license is required. Physical exam, pre-employment and substance abuse testing will be required.

Work hours require a flexible schedule that may include morning, evenings, weekends, and holidays. The Aquatics Center is seasonal with a planned open in May and a closure in September or October depending on staff availability. Starting pay will be $20.00 /hour depending on qualifications.

A Red Cross Lifeguard certificate is required before the first day of work. In-house certification available.
