MP Operator Teams

Position: MP Operator 12 Hour Teams
MP Operator 12 Hour Team ScheduleBASIC FUNCTION:

Under moderate supervision, operates a variety of machines such as lathes, drill presses, milling machines, grinders, or special purpose equipment to machine metal work pieces to specification on a production basis.

MAJOR DUTIES:

Performs a variety of tasks on a variety of machines.

Works from engineering drawings or rough sketches.

Sets up own machining work.

Performs other duties as assigned by leader or supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or GEDA thorough knowledge of machining techniques, materials, tools, equipment, and blueprint reading is required. Ability to read precision measuring tools is also required. Skills may be gained through practical experience and/or specialized training. Prior CNC or Manual Machine experience is preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Frequent bending, twisting and/or lifting approximately 55 pounds (and periodically heavier loads approximately 75 pounds) will be required.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:

All work will be done in a timely manner within established quality standards and consistent with Company policies, priorities and needs. The individual holding this position has a broad responsibility for carrying out the objectives of the Company including supporting all company policies, meeting goals, and working as a contributing team member.

Performance will be measured on the function/duties described in the position description, accomplishments during the review period, and the methods/work skills used to achieve the goals.
