Sterling Engineering is partnering with an established metal manufacturing company to hire a Production Planner/Scheduler in Carbondale, PA. This is a key role within the manufacturing operation for someone who enjoys owning the production schedule, solving capacity challenges, and working directly with operations to keep customer orders moving.

Compensation$60,000–$70,000 Base + Monthly Performance Bonus

- Own and maintain the production schedule based on customer demand, capacity, materials, and manufacturing priorities
- Schedule and manage production orders within the ERP system
- Work directly with production and operations teams to adjust schedules and keep orders moving
- Monitor manufacturing capacity, workloads, lead times, and available resources
- Identify scheduling conflicts and production bottlenecks before they impact customer deliveries
- Prioritize and expedite customer orders when necessary
- Communicate production priorities and delivery timelines across departments
- Maintain accurate ERP scheduling and production data
- Track on-time delivery and overall scheduling performance
- Use production data to identify opportunities to improve workflow and manufacturing efficiency
- 3+ years of production planning, production scheduling, or master scheduling experience
- Experience working in a high-mix, high-volume manufacturing environment
- Hands-on experience using an ERP/MRP system to manage production schedules
- Epicor experience is highly preferred, but experience with other manufacturing ERP systems will be considered
- Ability to understand production capacity, lead times, priorities, and changing customer demand
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with production and operations teams
- Metal fabrication or metal manufacturing experience is a plus
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant manufacturing experience
