Position: Children'S Residential Support Worker
Support Workers - Children and Young People - Cardiff

Shifts - Days (8am to 2pm or 2pm to 10pm) and Nights (7pm to 7am)

Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our team. The successful candidates will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to children, ensuring their well-being and development in a safe and nurturing environment. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young individuals while working within a supportive organisation committed to professional growth.

Responsibilities

* Assist children with daily activities, including personal care, play and educational tasks

* Develop and implement individualised care plans tailored to each child's needs

* Support children in engaging with educational and recreational activities to promote development

* Maintain clear communication with families, colleagues and external professionals regarding progress and concerns

* Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times by adhering to health and safety guidelines

* Drive children to appointments or activities as required, maintaining a clean driving record

* Keep accurate records of care provided, observations, and any incidents in line with organisational policies

* Contribute to creating a positive, inclusive environment that encourages confidence and independence

Qualifications

* Experience working with children in a childcare or support setting is highly desirable

* Knowledge of child development principles and care planning processes

* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

* Compassionate nature with strong organisational skills

* Ability to work flexibly according to organisational needs, including occasional evenings or weekends if required
