Nursery Assistant

Supply Team are currently recruiting for a Full-time Nursery Assistant
. We have roles available within schools in Cardiff
, Newport and Swansea for immediate start
.

We are looking for candidates who are flexible and have a passion for working in Education. We welcome applicants with Childcare qualifications or experience working with Children and young adults.

We are looking for individuals who flourish in a fast-paced environment and want to gain experience in Nurseries. The work we offer is flexible to you and ranges from day to day positions to long term temporary positions. Please find below a summary of duties required from you.

• Support the teacher when needed
• Assist with the development of basic Literacy, Numeracy and ICT
• Help prepare the classroom before class e.g. make or create resources, preparing games and work in the classroom
• Tidy resources at the end of each lesson
• Work within group activities e.g. reading groups, spelling groups and numeracy activities
• Provide one to one support, this can include working with children with ALN
• Provide feedback to the teacher on the pupil’s progress
• Help with administrative tasks, don’t be afraid to ask for things to do
• Be aware of the planning and preparation of work e.g. ask about timetables, pupil profiles and playtime duty rotas
