Calderdale Council is looking for an ambitious, creative and commercially focused Bars and Catering Manager to join its vibrant theatre team.

This is an exciting opportunity that goes beyond traditional bar management. The successful candidate will help develop and grow the venue’s bar and catering services while exploring new opportunities linked to live events, private functions, venue hire and innovative hospitality experiences.

The role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the future of the venue, particularly as the theatre undergoes a programme of refurbishment to its bars and hospitality areas.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the theatre’s bars and catering operations, ensuring customers receive a safe, efficient and high-quality service during major events.

Key duties will include:

• Managing the daily operation of bars and catering services.
• Leading and supporting staff to deliver excellent customer experiences.
• Ensuring effective operational and financial management.
• Developing new income-generating opportunities through public and private events.
• Exploring innovative hospitality concepts and services.
• Supporting the theatre’s live-event programme.
• Identifying opportunities to improve bar and catering performance.
• Maintaining high standards of health, safety and service.
• Contributing ideas to the ongoing development of the venue.
