This vacancy is open to employees of the University of Nottingham only.
We are looking for a dynamic, professional and proactive individual who will provide high quality, customer-focussed support to the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences Research Ethics Committee (FMHS REC). You will provide efficient administrative support for the FMHS REC, enabling the Committee to maintain the highest standards of research integrity, rigor, and excellence. You will manage the workflow of the FMHS REC, provide advice to applicants, monitor and manage research ethics applications, and work proactively with FMHS REC members and other professional services to develop and maintain clear processes.
You will communicate with staff and students to provide specialist guidance and support.
To enable the above, you will have strong operational and organisational skills, particularly relating to process establishment and workflow management. You will be an able communicator, who can work as part of a team and also take initiative to provide advice and specialist support. You will have an understanding of the research lifecycle including knowledge of research governance and integrity requirements and processes.
You will have the ability to risk assess, carefully review information and prioritise competing demands.
You will join the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences Research and Knowledge Exchange Services team, which supports a diverse range of operational, strategic, and administrative activities across the spectrum of research activities of the Faculty.
