Lead Operative; Skilled

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Housing & Communities Service Area for the post of a Lead Operative, specialist Gas Engineer.

The successful candidate will ensure compliance with all required legislative procedures and provide assistance to ensure a high quality customer service is maintained. You will need to comply with Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998 in all gas installations within council buildings, ensure that all equipment, materials and stock is well maintained and in good condition and take responsibility for ensure that council buildings comply with all Building Regulations.

This will include pre and post inspections of In House Operatives and Contractor’s works.

NVQ Level 2 (Heating & Pluming) or/ City & Guilds basic craft certificate or equivalent in an approved trade is essential for this post.

ACS Gas Qualifications Including: CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1 and MET
1.
