Overview

Unify

HQ are recruiting on behalf of our client for a reliable and experienced Multi‑Skilled Operative to support renewables and retrofit projects across South Wales. This role focuses on loft works, door undercuts and general making good following Solar PV and Air Source Heat Pump installations. The work is non‑ECO and delivered to quality‑focused customers, so attention to detail and customer care are essential.

The Role
  • Carrying out loft works including access improvements and minor alterations
  • Completing door undercuts to ensure correct airflow and system compliance
  • Making good after installations including plaster repairs, boxing‑in and minor carpentry
  • Addressing post‑installation snags and remedial works
  • Ensuring all work areas are left clean, safe and presentable
  • Identifying and reporting issues requiring further attention
  • Working closely with installation and project teams on site
  • Maintaining excellent health and safety standards at all times
Essential Requirements
  • Proven experience in a multi‑trade role
  • Strong skills in basic carpentry, making good and general property repairs
  • Experience working in loft spaces
  • High standards of workmanship and attention to detail
  • Good understanding of site health and safety
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
  • Strong customer‑facing skills
  • Full UK driving licence
Desirable (Not Essential)
  • Experience working on retrofit or renewables projects
  • CSCS card
  • Working at Heights or Manual Handling training
  • Experience working in occupied domestic properties
