About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Roofing Supervisor (Solar) to lead domestic solar PV installation teams across a growing renewables portfolio. This role is ideal for a seasoned installer or roofer with strong solar experience who can take ownership of site delivery, uphold high installation standards, and support the development of junior team members.
The position is primarily domestic, with the opportunity to support commercial projects where beneficial. You’ll oversee safe working practices, ensure quality workmanship, and act as the on‑site lead for both technical and customer‑facing matters.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead domestic solar PV roof installation teams to MCS and industry standards
* Oversee safe working at height and ensure full compliance with site safety procedures
* Manage roof preparation, mounting systems, panel installation, and associated works
* Coordinate with electricians during installation and commissioning phases
* Maintain accurate job records and ensure clear communication with customers
* Mentor junior installers and support team development
* Assist with commercial installations when required
What We’re Looking For
Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in domestic solar PV roof installation
Strong understanding of domestic roof structures, mounting systems, and safe access methods
Confident supervising teams and leading site operations
Excellent communication and customer‑facing skills
Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
Experience supervising or leading installation teams
Exposure to commercial solar projects
Solar PV qualifications (e.g., BPEC, MCS‑aligned training)
Electrical knowledge or qualifications (advantageous but not essential)
Experience with battery storage installations
