Summary
In this vital role within our Property Safety team, you’ll work closely with our Group’s Fire Safety Lead and colleagues across the organisation. Your responsibilities will include carrying out fire door inspections and minor repairs, regularly testing key fire safety systems, and checking communal areas to identify and report any health, safety, or fire risks. AboutThe Role
We’re recruiting four full‑time, permanent Fire Safety Maintenance Inspectors to join our Property Safety team. Three roles will cover areas along the South Wales M4 corridor, while the fourth will be based in Bangor, North Wales. Each role offers a balanced mix of site visits, office time, and home working, giving you flexibility while ensuring a strong connection with the team.
You’ll travel to residential accommodation to carry out essential fire safety inspections and minor maintenance, with a company van and all necessary equipment provided. A full UK driving licence is essential due to the need to travel independently between multiple sites.

Skills And Experience NeededTo be considered for this role, you’ll need to hold one of the following recognised fire‑door inspection qualifications:
- FDIS
- ABBE Level 3 Award in Fire Door Inspection
- EAL Level 3 Award in the Inspection of Fire Doors
- GQA Level 3 Diploma in Inspection of Fire Resistant Doorsets
We’re also happy to consider any Level 3, OFQUAL‑regulated fire‑door inspection qualification that provides an equivalent level of knowledge and competence.
We’re looking for someone who has hands‑on experience working with fire doors. You should also have experience carrying out non‑technical fire and smoke alarm testing, along with a solid understanding of key health and safety procedures, including working at height, and other relevant safety practices. You must be able and willing to work independently, using the lone‑working equipment provided to ensure safety and compliance while carrying out your duties.
The ability to carry out basic building maintenance and repairs is important for this role, as is a commitment to undertaking relevant training and ongoing personal development.

Pay and Pensions- £31,292.00 per annum
