Maintenance Officer

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Cardiff to assist with the appointment of a Maintenance Officer, on a 6‑month contract, highly likely to be extended at client's discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

The Maintenance Officer will be responsible for supporting the refurbishment and installation of WHQS‑compliant kitchens and bathrooms across the Vale of Glamorgan area, working closely with existing teams to deliver high‑quality repairs and improvement works within occupied and void properties.

• Carry out kitchen and bathroom refurbishment works in line with WHQS standards.
• Undertake a range of multi‑trade maintenance activities, with a primary focus on carpentry works.
• Install, repair, and maintain kitchen units, doors, frames, skirting boards, and other carpentry‑related fixtures.
• Work collaboratively with other trades and operational teams to complete projects within agreed timescales.
• Ensure all works are completed to a high standard of quality and workmanship.
• Carry out property improvement, repair, and maintenance tasks within occupied and vacant residential properties.

• Level 2 Qualification in Carpentry (or equivalent recognised qualification).
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Proven experience as a Multi‑Trade Operative within housing maintenance, repairs, or refurbishment environments.
• Strong carpentry skills with experience in kitchen and bathroom installations or refurbishments.
• Ability to undertake a variety of maintenance and repair tasks across multiple trades.
• Experience working within residential properties, including occupied homes.
• Right to work in the UK.
