At Securitas Technology, we’re searching for a proactive Fire & Security Engineer to maintain and service fire and security systems. In this role you will take ownership of issues, resolve them effectively and prevent future challenges.
Job Description- Deliver excellent customer service, working closely with the Area Supervisor and National Call Centre.
- Use PDA management software to manage service calls and maintenance visits.
- Attend and resolve daily service calls plus scheduled maintenance work.
- Take responsibility for your vehicle and stock, ensuring they’re properly maintained.
- Bring a proactive, positive, “can‑do” approach to every job.
- Join the call‑out rota, with opportunities for additional earning potential.
- Work flexibly when needed to meet client demand.
- Be based within ~30 minutes of your working area for responsive service.
Eligibility & Clearance: Must be eligible to obtain Security Clearance (SC).
Technical Knowledge:
- Intruder systems such as Texecom, Galaxy, Pacom & GE ranges.
- Access Control (PC‑based & standalone):
Lenel, CEM, C‑Cure, PAC & Paxton. - CCTV systems across analogue and IP platforms.
- Advantageous: experience with Milestone, Dahua, Genetec, and CEM.
- Strong IP networking skills and understanding of basic electrical principles.
Experience &
Skills:
- At least 3 years’ experience in the security systems industry.
- Proven field service/technical experience.
- Clean full UK driving licence.
- Solid understanding of industry standards.
- The right to work in the UK, with a 5‑year checkable history.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Ability to spot and refer potential sales opportunities (commission available).
- Good communication, time‑management and planning skills.
