Shuttering Carpenter in Cardiff Overview We are seeking a skilled and experienced Shuttering Carpenter to join our team in Cardiff.

This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional to contribute to high-quality construction projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in shuttering carpentry and must hold a valid CSCS card.

Responsibilities
  • Construct and assemble formwork for concrete structures, including walls, columns, beams, and slabs.
  • Interpret and work from technical drawings and specifications.
  • Measure, cut, and shape wood or other materials to create formwork.
  • Ensure all work is completed to the highest safety and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with other team members to meet project deadlines.
  • Inspect and maintain tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations on-site.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Shuttering Carpenter in the construction industry.
  • Valid CSCS card is mandatory.
  • Strong understanding of construction techniques and materials.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans.
  • Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship.
  • Good physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Day-to-Day
  • Review project plans and prepare materials for the day’s tasks.
  • Construct and install formwork for concrete pours.
  • Work closely with site supervisors and other tradespeople to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Perform quality checks to ensure all work meets project specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Address any on-site challenges promptly and professionally.
