We are seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic / Service Technician to join our highly respected independent team in Cardiff. The Rewards- Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 per year basic (Tailored directly to your hands‑on experience and technical skillset).
- Early Finish & No Weekends: Monday to Friday, 07:30 – 16:30—enjoy an early finish every afternoon with strictly zero weekend shifts required.

Your RoleAs a vital member of our Cardiff technical team, you will:
- Carry out mechanical repairs
, routine vehicle servicing, braking system maintenance, timing belts, and complex mechanical tasks. - Use up‑to‑date diagnostic tools to efficiently fault‑find and resolve technical and electrical issues.
- Ensure high‑quality "first‑time fix" results while adhering strictly to workshop safety guidelines.
- Work productively to complete vehicle repairs accurately and keep the workshop operating smoothly.
- Collaborate with a skilled team of mechanics to uphold our high standards of customer satisfaction.
- Qualifications &
Experience:
Proven track record working as a Vehicle Technician, Car Mechanic, or Service Specialist in a professional workshop setting. Level 2 or Level 3 NVQ/IMI preferred, though time‑served technical experience is also considered. F‑Gas certification is preferred (or an interest in obtaining it). - Technical Skill: Excellent engine knowledge, alongside strong working knowledge of general vehicle servicing, mechanical components, and diagnostics.
- Licensing: A full UK driving licence is essential.
An active MOT Tester licence is preferred but not required. - Key Strengths: A reliable, self‑motivated professional with good attention to detail, strong mechanical understanding, and a team‑player mindset.
Our facility is based in Cardiff and is ideally situated for a quick and straightforward daily commute for anyone travelling from Newport, Penarth, Barry, Caerphilly, Pontypridd, Bridgend, Cwmbran, and the surrounding South Wales areas.
