This is a permanent, hands-on position involving the installation, maintenance and repair of a wide variety of internal and external signage. The role includes local and nationwide travel in a company vehicle, with occasional overnight stays.
We are interested in speaking with experienced sign installers as well as practically minded candidates with relevant transferable skills who are keen to develop within the signage industry.
The role
- You will work as part of the installation team, completing signage projects safely, accurately and to a high standard.
Your responsibilities will include:
Installing illuminated and non-illuminated signage
Fitting vinyl graphics, LED signs, digital signage and channel lettering
Completing internal and external signage installations
Reading specifications, plans and installation instructions
Measuring and marking installation sites accurately
Mounting signs using ladders, access lifts and scaffolding
Completing appropriate lighting and wiring work for illuminated signage
Carrying out signage maintenance and repairs
Coordinating with project managers, clients and contractors
Communicating professionally with customers while working on site
Following health and safety procedures and relevant building regulations
Travelling to customer sites throughout the UK
Completing occasional overnight stays when required
About you
- The successful candidate will be practical, reliable and safety-conscious, with strong attention to detail.
You will need:
A full UK driving licence
Confidence working at height and using access equipment
The flexibility to travel throughout the UK
Availability for occasional overnight stays
Good communication and teamwork skills
A reliable, organised and self-disciplined approach
The ability to follow plans, measurements and instructions accurately
Good practical problem-solving skills
A professional approach when dealing with customers and contractors
The following would be advantageous:
At least two years sign installation or sign-fitting experience
Experience installing vinyl, illuminated or large-format signage
A valid CSCS card
IPAF certification
PASMA certification
Relevant signage experience and qualifications are desirable, but applications from candidates with strong transferable installation, fitting or practical trade experience will also be considered.
Hours and travel
This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week within a flexible Monday-to-Sunday operating pattern. The position involves local and nationwide site work, with occasional overnight stays.
A company vehicle is provided for work-related travel.

£26,000 £ 30,000 per annum, depending on experience
