Staff Accountant

Description

We're looking for a Staff Accountant to support daily accounting operations, financial reporting, and month‑end activities. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys working with numbers, maintaining accurate financial records, and contributing to a dependable accounting function.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules for month‑end close.

+ Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring accuracy across key balance sheet and income statement accounts.

+ Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial accounts.

+ Assist with AP/AR functions, including invoice processing, payment posting, and account follow‑up.

+ Support fixed asset tracking, depreciation calculations, and related reporting.

+ Assist with internal and external audits by providing documentation and analysis.

+ Contribute to financial reporting packages and variance analyses.

+ Participate in process improvement initiatives within the accounting team.

Requirements

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

+ 1-3 years of accounting experience preferred; internship or entry-level experience considered.

+ Solid understanding of GAAP.

+ Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables) and experience with accounting/ERP systems.

+ Ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively.
