** Pinnacle Regional Health Physicians is hiring a Full-Time Physician Assistant or Acute Care Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner to help support the Department of Urology at UPMC Carlisle.*

** Position Specifics:
** Urology Advanced Practice Provider (APP) supports the delivery of high-quality urologic care through direct patient evaluation, treatment, and follow-up. Working closely with the urologic surgeon and clinical team, the APP manages patient visits, performs assessments and procedures within scope of practice, and provides education and care coordination to ensure an efficient and positive patient experience. Perform comprehensive urologic patient evaluations, including history taking, physical examinations, and clinical assessments.
** Department Details:
** Carlisle Urology is a small, dedicated department focused on providing quality, patient-centered urologic care to the Carlisle, PA community and surrounding area. The team consists of about 6 experienced staff members and 1 board certified urologic surgeon.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Diagnose and manage common urologic conditions such as BPH, urinary tract infections, hematuria, kidney stones, erectile dysfunction, and incontinence
+ Conduct follow-up visits for surgical and procedural patients, including post-operative care and monitoring
+ Order, review, and interpret laboratory tests, imaging studies, and diagnostic procedures related to urologic care
+ Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the urologic surgeon
+ Prescribe medications and therapies within scope of practice and state regulations
+ Perform in-office procedures as credentialed, which may include catheterizations, voiding trials, cystoscopy assistance, prostate biopsies assistance, and other urology-related procedures
+ Provide patient education regarding diagnoses, procedures, medications, and ongoing care plans
+ Coordinate care with nursing staff, office staff, and external providers to ensure continuity of care
+ Document all patient encounters accurately and timely in the electronic medical record
+ Respond to patient messages, phone calls, and clinical questions as appropriate
+ Assist with pre-operative evaluations and post-operative follow-up care
