Location: Carlisle Mail Centre, Junction Street, Carlisle, CA1 1AA
(travel across various sites)

Salary: £15,199 - £22,591 (depending on age)

37.5 hours per week - shifts aligned to a mentor when starting

Duration: 3 - 4 years

Qualification: Installation and Maintenance Electrician - Level 3

Do you like working with tools and learning how things work? Do you enjoy fixing problems and building skills? This could be the perfect job for you!

As an Installation & Maintenance Electrical Apprentice, you will help keep buildings safe and powered.

You will learn how to:

• Install electrical systems
• Fix and maintain equipment
• Test electrical systems to make sure they are safe
• Repair faults when things go wrong
• Follow important safety rules

You will work with trained electricians who will guide you every step of the way.

This is an apprenticeship, so you will:

• Learn on the job every day
• Take part in training and study
• Complete your coursework and assessments

As you improve, you will be trusted to do more tasks on your own.

• A helpful and friendly team

You’ll need:

• GCSE Maths and English Language at Level 4 (or the ability to achieve this during the apprenticeship)
• A minimum of 5 GCSEs in total (Grade 4/C or above), ideally including a Science (Physics, Biology, Chemistry or combined Science) or Technical subject (or equivalent)
• A Full UK Driving Licence (important as the apprenticeship will involve travelling to various sites)
