London (Mobile Role) Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Salary: £55,000 - £57,000  Benefits About the Role We are looking for an experienced and motivated Commercial Gas Engineer to join my clients growing team, providing planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs, fault finding, and installation work across a portfolio of commercial properties throughout London. The commercial gas engineer will work independently and as part of a wider engineering team to ensure commercial gas systems and associated plant are maintained to the highest standards of safety, compliance, and performance.

Key Responsibilities Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on commercial gas appliances and systems. Diagnose faults and complete reactive maintenance and repairs efficiently. Service, maintain, and repair commercial boilers, water heaters, warm air units, radiant tube heaters, and associated gas equipment. Undertake minor installation and replacement works where required. Complete all statutory testing and certification in line with current regulations. Ensure all work complies with Gas Safety Regulations, Health & Safety legislation, and company procedures.

Produce accurate service reports, risk assessments, and maintenance records using electronic job management systems. Liaise professionally with clients, site managers, and colleagues. Participate in an out-of-hours call-out rota (where applicable). Identify opportunities for remedial works and report recommendations. Essential Requirements Valid Commercial Gas qualifications including relevant ACS certifications (such as CODNCO1, COCN1, ICPN1, TPCP1A, CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1). Proven experience working on commercial gas systems.

Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills. Good understanding of commercial heating systems and controls. Full UK Driving Licence. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively. Desirable Qualifications LPG qualifications. F-Gas certification. Electrical knowledge or relevant qualifications.

Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS). Experience working within schools, healthcare, retail, or commercial office environments. Health & Safety qualifications (e.g. IOSH Working Safely). Skills & Attributes Strong attention to detail. Reliable, professional, and safety-focused. Excellent problem-solving ability. Flexible approach to working across multiple sites. Good IT skills for digital reporting. Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
