We are looking for an experienced Fire Alarm Service Engineer to join a permanent, full-time team based in Cumbria, covering customer sites across the surrounding area.
The role involves servicing, maintaining and fault-finding on fire and life safety systems, with a mix of planned maintenance and reactive call outs.
Ideal CandidateWe're looking for a qualified Fire Alarm Engineer with solid hands on servicing and fault-finding experience. You'll be confident working independently, dealing directly with customers and managing your own workload.
A professional approach, strong technical problem-solving skills and a genuine focus on delivering quality work are essential. Experience with access control and emergency lighting would be an advantage.
Fire Alarm & Life Safety EngineerKey Responsibilities
- Service, maintain and fault find on fire alarm systems, carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs.
- Attend reactive call outs and diagnose faults across fire and life safety systems.
- Service and maintain access control and emergency lighting systems.
- Complete accurate service reports and ensure all work meets relevant regulations, standards and company procedures.
- Provide professional customer support while maintaining high standards of health and safety.
- FIA Level 2 qualification or equivalent, with proven experience servicing and fault-finding fire alarm systems.
- Previous experience attending reactive call outs and resolving technical faults.
- Experience with emergency lighting; knowledge of door access control systems is highly desirable.
- Full UK driving licence and the ability to work independently while managing your own workload.
- Strong problem-solving, communication and customer service skills.
