Bookkeeper

Description

A growing professional services firm in Carlsbad is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day financial operations. This role requires strong knowledge of accounting fundamentals and the ability to maintain accurate financial records in a deadline-driven environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys ownership of the bookkeeping function and values precision.

Responsibilities

+ Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable

+ Reconcile bank and credit card accounts monthly

+ Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger

+ Assist with payroll processing and related reporting

+ Generate financial statements for management review

+ Maintain accurate records in accounting software

+ Support external CPA during tax preparation and audits

Requirements

+ 3+ years of bookkeeping experience

+ Strong understanding of GAAP fundamentals

+ Proficiency in Quick Books or similar accounting software

+ Advanced Excel skills

+ Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities

+ Ability to work independently
