Senior Staff Accountant

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant in Carlsbad, CA.

• Lead and support the month-end close process, including preparation of financial statements for internal reporting
• Prepare and review journal entries, including reallocations and recurring entries
• Perform balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations
• Manage accounting for prepaids, accruals, fixed assets, depreciation, and intercompany transactions
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities
• Conduct Budget vs. Actual variance analysis and assist with financial analysis
• Manage and support AP/AR processes
• Support project accounting
• Participate in reporting enhancements, SOP development, and process automation initiatives

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Management, or related field required
• 6+ years of full-cycle accounting experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles
• Demonstrated experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
• High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
