An established professional services firm in Carlsbad is looking for a Staff Accountant to support daily accounting operations and financial reporting activities. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a team-oriented environment and wants exposure to multiple areas of accounting.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting Operations
+ Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations
+ Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes as needed
+ Assist with month-end close and financial reporting activities
+ Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation
+ Monitor account activity and resolve discrepancies
Reporting & Analysis
+ Prepare schedules and supporting reports for management review
+ Assist with annual audit preparation
+ Support budget tracking and variance reporting
+ Participate in process improvement initiatives
Requirements
+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred
+ 2+ years of accounting experience
+ Strong organizational and analytical skills
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required
+
Experience with Quick Books, Net Suite, or Sage preferred
+ Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
