Ledgent Finance & Accounting is seeking a Senior Accountant for a temporary hybrid opportunity in Carlsbad. This role is ideal for a sharp, hands‑on accounting professional who can step in quickly, support a busy accounting team, and operate independently in a changing environment.

This is a strong opportunity for a Senior Accountant who enjoys hands‑on accounting work, can plug in quickly, and wants to support a well‑established organization during a key transition period.

• Support general accounting and month‑end close activities
• Assist with consolidations‑related accounting work
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
• Support financial reporting and account analysis
• Partner with accounting leadership and team members to help maintain deadlines
• Work through accounting requests in a busy, transitional environment
• Identify issues, follow up on discrepancies, and help keep accounting processes moving
• Provide additional accounting support as needed

• 3–5+ years of solid accounting experience
• Senior‑accountant caliber background with hands‑on general accounting experience
• Strong understanding of journal entries, reconciliations, close support, and account analysis
• Comfortable working independently while collaborating with a small accounting team
• Able to adapt quickly in a busy and changing environment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Must be comfortable with a hybrid schedule in Carlsbad

• Public accounting background
• CPA or CPA track
